Sanyo Juno in Blue Review

It seems to be the done thing nowadays for mobile phone manufacturers to mimic the designs deemed so successful from their rivals. Everyone is familiar with the classic Blackberry look, and it seems as if some other mobile phone companies have taken their inspiration from the design to kick start the process of creating another new mobile phone.

This can certainly be said of the Sanyo Juno mobile phone, which while looking a little distinctive on its own accord, does still bring to mind the classic Blackberry design at first glance. However once you get past the slight resemblance there is a lot to discover on the handset itself.

One thing that is true of the mobile phone marketplace today is that it caters for lots of different users. A quick glance would have you assume – wrongly as it turns out – that all you can get are basic phones and smart phones, with no other choices in the middle. However this isn’t the case, as phones like the Sanyo Juno mobile phone sit squarely in the middle. They may not have all the bells and whistles offered by the majority of smart phones, but they do offer a cost effective solution to finding a phone that makes messaging easy.

The phone measures 4.3 inches high, 2.4 inches wide and has a thickness of 0.6 inches. The deep blue color of the casing is an eye catching feature and will no doubt attract some users for whom appearance is everything. The QWERTY keyboard is a nice touch and while it may look small to begin with you will notice that it has raised keys. This makes the likelihood of any misspellings much less than it would be otherwise.

Either side of the phone above the keyboard and below the screen are the start call and end call buttons. You also have a text button and a back button to facilitate easier use of the phone as a whole. The screen will always be smaller on this type of phone, but you are still provided with a 2.2 inch LCD screen that faithfully reproduces many colors. Since the phone is designed mainly for the heavy texting segment of the marketplace, any failings in the quality of the screen will be noticed only minimally.

Having said that, the phone does sport a camera, but it should only be used for the most casual of shots since it only musters up 1.3 megapixels. However all in all the Sanyo Juno in blue does represent excellent value for money with many good features.
