With the Samsung Solstice 2 you get a phone that looks very much like the original Solstice. This handset measures 4.3 x 2.1 x 0.5 inches and weighs 3.4 ounces. This phone is lightweight enough that it’s comfortable to use, and it is compact so it’s easy to slip into your pocket.
On the front of the Samsung Solstice 2 there is a 3-inch touchscreen display. This screen is responsive and easy to use, and it provides a bright and beautiful picture. You will also get a virtual numeric keyboard, as well as a QWERTY keyboard.
Some of the features that you’ll get with the Samsung Solstice 2 include a phonebook that will hold up to 2,000 contacts, as well as connectivity options such as 3G and Bluetooth. This phone also comes with GPS, as well as voice commands and a voice recorder. Of course you will also get a number of basic features such as a calendar, stopwatch, and calculator.
For keeping in touch with friends and family the Samsung Solstice 2 offers such features as text and multimedia messaging, plus you get instant messaging, email, and support for social networking apps, such as Facebook and Twitter. The Solstice 2 also comes with some multimedia features such as a basic music player and a built in camera that will record video as well as take still photos.
The call quality that you get with the Samsung Solstice 2 isn’t the best. When talking on this phone you might encounter some distortion and static. The speakerphone tends to echo. For battery life the Solstice 2 is rated for 5 hours of talk time and over 10 days of standby time.
If you can deal with the problems in call quality, the Samsung Solstice 2 is a great value. You get some fantastic features with this mobile phone at a reasonable cost.
