The Samsung Reclaim is a cell phone that has been labeled green; this device is among those known to be more environmentally friendly. What exactly is considered to be environmentally friendly depends on a few things; possibly the device uses less power than average, or it could be partially constructed of recycled materials.
The Samsung Reclaim claims its green status due to the fact that some of the materials are recycled, as well as the box that it comes in being constructed of recycled materials. Of course with this phone you won’t have to give up features, as the Reclaim does offer some great extras that you might not find with other green mobile phones. You will get a full QWERTY keyboard, and a compact phone, even though it may not be the most attractive handset you can find.
The Samsung cell phone Reclaim is square shaped slide, it measures 3.9 x 2.37 x 0.59 inches and weighs 3.5 ounces; this handset comes in a green color as a symbol to its green status. Although it is made from recycled material, when you hold it in your hand it still feels like a high quality, solid phone. On the front is a 2.6-inch display that supports 262,000 colors.
Some of the features you get with the Samsung Reclaim phone include a phonebook that can hold up to 600 contacts, some of the core features of this handset include a vibrate mode, text and multimedia messaging, as well as a tip calculator, and a calendar. There is also an alarm clock, a world clock, and a calculator, along with a speakerphone. You will also get access to some nice applications, such as social networking, and many of Google services.
Some of the multimedia features include access to streaming video and music, plus you can download MP3 files and set them as your ringtones. There is also a 2-megapixel camera that comes with zoom and night mode, plus you can record video clips with this camera. As long as you have your cell phone with you, there will never be any worries about missing those unexpected moments. The photo quality isn’t the best, but is about average for a 2-megapixel camera.
The call quality that you get with the Samsung Reclaim phone is fair; the calls are loud and clear, though voices sound a bit harsh. Streaming video was also average for a mobile phone. This phone has a battery rating for 6 hours of talk time.
If you are looking for a nice phone that is also green, you might want to give the Samsung Reclaim a go; it offers a lot of features not normally available with green mobiles.
