The Samsung R211 is a budget friendly, entry-level mobile phone that offers solid communication, but not a lot of extra features. The mobile service provider that carries the Samsung R211 phone is Cricket, which is a carrier that offers prepaid cell phone service to those that don’t want to be bothered with a contract.
The R211 Samsung is a basic, candy bar style phone that offers some standard features, but not much more. This is a tiny, compact phone that measures 4.07 x 1.77 x 0.59 inches and features a small, 1.5-inch screen. This is a very low-resolution screen, but you can read text on it, which is all you will really be using it for. With the Samsung R211 being so small, it feels comfortable in your hand, plus it is very easy to slip into your pocket or handbag and take along with you.
Although you won’t get many features with this mobile phone, there are a few, including a personal organizer and a voice recorder, as well as a speakerphone; the phonebook will hold up to 500 contacts. The R211 has 2MB of internal memory, which isn’t much memory at all, but considering the limited features on this handset, it is probably enough.
Some additional features that come with the Samsung R211 include text messaging, plus there is a mobile web browser so that you can surf the Internet right from your mobile phone. You also get an easy to use interface so you shouldn’t have any problems navigating your way around this phone.
Cricket is offering the Samsung R211 phone with no contract, but the price is right at around $90, which is a little high for a device that offers so few features; there is not even a basic camera or music player included with this mobile.
What you do get is a very solid communication device, which is just fine for those who want to bypass the fancy frills in order to save some money. If you are one of those people that simply wants a phone to make calls on or to keep in touch through text messages, the Samsung R211 is adequate, though there are many mobile phones you could get for less, that offer a lot more features.
