By admin on March 23rd, 2010
One of the best new messenger phones is the Samsung Messanger II Silver. This slide phone is an updated version of the original model; it offers some great messaging features, plus a lot more. You won’t get a lot of high-end features with this handset, but there are a few, such as a full QWERTY keyboard, a camera and a music player.
With the Samsung Messenger 2 Silver you get a phone with a basic design, and some basic features. This phone performs well as a communication device, so you know you will be getting what you pay for.
Some of the basic features you can expect to get with the Samsung Messenger II Silver include text and multimedia messaging, plus there is a speakerphone, and an alarm clock. You will also get a calculator, in addition to a tip calculator. There are several personal organization tools, such as a calendar, a notepad, and a voice recorder.
To help you organize your contacts there is a phonebook, plus you can arrange your contacts into groups and even assign certain ringtones and pictures to your contacts. The Samsung Messenger II Silver comes with only 13 ringtones, but you do have the option of downloading more. For customizing your phone you can use different wallpapers, plus there are a few other customization options available.
One feature you won’t find with this handset is games; for some reason Samsung has decided not to include games with this phone, though so many other mobiles come with this option today. The Samsung Messanger II Silver only comes with 40MB of internal memory, but you can expand the phone’s memory with memory cards.
Some of the more advanced features that come with the Samsung Messenger 2 Silver include Bluetooth, a mobile web browser and support for email. You also get instant messaging so it’s easy to stay in touch with your friends and family, as well as your online acquaintances.
For people who travel, the built in GPS is a nice feature; as long as you have your phone, you will never have to worry about trying to find your way around a new city. For multimedia features there is a music player, as well as a built in 2-megapixel camera. The music player is easy to use and provides a fair sound quality; the photo quality isn’t great, but good enough to catch those unexpected moments when you don’t have your camera along with you. In addition to taking still photographs, this camera can also record video.
Although the Samsung Messanger II Silver doesn’t provide a lot of high-end features, it is a great messenger phone and you can get it at a reasonable price.
