Samsung M360 Review
By Blake Sanders on October 31st, 2011
The M360 comes amidst the success of Samsung’s Galaxy S series of smartphones. It shows the company still catering to the need of basic phone users who either enjoy the baser phone experience or find themselves bound by a tight budget.

The design of the M360 is incredibly basic. This won’t necessarily be an issue, however. The phone never really tries to hide that it is an affordable option rather than a fashionable one. Its flip-up design is similar to that seen on numerous occasions before, with an external display showing key information. Its exterior is composed of two colors, with a glossy blue outer layer contrasting to a black inner layer.
The phone measures 3.9 inches in height, 1.9 inches in width and is 0.7 inch thick. Its unassuming aesthetic is matched by its pretty standard screen displays. Overall, it looks nice for a flip-up phone and is quite compact, though admittedly it is slightly taller than many other basic level phones. The outside body features the usual 0.92 inch external display, displaying key information such as the date, time and remaining battery life. It does however have the added function of doubling as a viewfinder for the phone’s camera. It weighs a total of 3.6 ounces, which is a nice enough weight to remain comfortable when holding the phone and for it to stay as a subtle presence in your pocket.
On the side of the phone are an appreciated 3.5mm headset jack and a microUSB charger port. Flipping the phone up will review its 2.25 inch screen, supporting 262k colors and a resolution of 320x240. It doesn’t quite have the cutting edge spark of smartphones, but it does more than enough to make images appear colorful and text sharp and defined. The user has the option of setting the backlight time, screen brightness and the wallpaper for the menu and screensaver. Below the screen is a spacious navigation pad. Overall, the phone’s keypad has a good feel to it with large keys that are easy to press.
The phone’s phonebook has a capacity of 600 entries. It also comes with the usual functions and features found on basic phones in this price range such as calculator, world clock and calendar.
The M360 does contain a 1.3-megapixel camera but it is limited. However, pictures can be sent through Bluetooth and MMS to friends and family, in addition to being able to upload them to social networking websites. This makes the camera good for must-capture moments, rather than being something to depend on entirely.
