Samsung Intensity Review

With the Samsung U450 Intensity you get a phone that appears to be a candy bar style mobile that measures 4.25 x 2.08 x 0.65 inches and is compact and lightweight enough that you will barely notice it when you are carrying it in your pocket.
On the front of this phone is a 2.1-inch display that will support 262,000 TFT colors so you can be sure that the pictures you view on this screen will be bright and beautiful. Unfortunately the screen is a little small. When you slide this phone open, you will get a full QWERTY keyboard; this feature makes writing email and text messages fast and easy.
Some of the features that you get with the Samsung Intensity include a phonebook that will hold up to 1,000 contacts. In addition there are also some basic features included, such as a speakerphone, a vibrate mode, and a calculator, as well as a calendar. There is also an alarm clock, a stopwatch, and a world clock, plus a notepad.
The Samsung Intensity U450 is a mobile phone that puts a lot of focus on messaging so of course it offers some great messaging features. You get threaded messaging, as well as text and multimedia messaging. There is also a mobile email option, but it will cost you an extra $5.
Some of the advanced features that come with the Samsung Intensity include a mobile web browser, and built in GPS. There is also voice command, Bluetooth and instant messaging with support for Yahoo, AIM, and Windows Live. For entertainment features the Intensity has a built in music player that supports V Cast music.
In addition to a music player, the Samsung Intensity U450 does have a built in 1.3-megapixel camera that includes a variety of different photography settings. The photo quality is okay, but not fantastic.
The call quality that you get with the Intensity is average at best. Though you can hear callers and they can hear you, voices sound a little mechanical and there might be some distortion and static. The battery life for this Samsung mobile is rated for 5 hours of talk time and 12.5 days of standby time.
If you are looking for an entry level phone that won’t cost you a lot, the price for Samsung Intensity U450 is very affordable as you can get this phone for free when you sign a contract with Verizon Wireless.
