Samsung Gravity White Review
By admin on March 23rd, 2010
The Samsung Gravity White is a mobile phone that places a lot of emphasis on messaging features; though many of the other features that come with this phone are what you might expect from a low-end handset.
This candy bar design phone is actually a slide phone that features a full QWERTY keyboard so that you can easily send text messages and email. The Samsung Gravity White with Aqua looks a lot like the LG Rumor, but there are a few differences in the keyboard and size; the Gravity measures 4.53 x 2.07 x 0.7 inches. On the front of this phone is a 2.1-inch diagonal screen that supports 262,000 colors.
When looking at the features you get with the Samsung Gravity it is best to keep in mind that it is not a high-end phone and this will be reflected in the features that are included with this handset. You do get a phonebook that will hold up to 1,000 contacts, as well as some basic features, including a speakerphone, and a vibrate mode, in addition to text and multimedia messaging. There is also a voice recorder, an alarm clock, and a notepad.
Some of the advanced features that come with the Samsung Gravity cell phone include Bluetooth, instant messaging, with support for several different applications, plus there is support for email. If you are the type that likes to have a camera on hand at all times, you’ll enjoy the built in 1.3-megapixel camera that also has the capability of recording video. The photo quality is fair, but there does seem to be some problems with colors. There are a few specialty settings for taking pictures but not many.
The Samsung Gravity White does come with several personalization options; you have the choice of several wallpapers, screensavers, as well as alert tones to choose from. There are also a number of demo games preloaded on the Gravity, but to get the full versions you will have to buy the downloads.
As for performance, the Samsung Gravity White did not do so well. The call quality is mediocre at best; voices are loud but sound very muffled. The sound quality when playing music is better, but not magnificent. The music does seem to lack bass.
With the Samsung White with Aqua you get a battery rating of 6 hours of talk time and 12.5 days of standby time, which isn’t bad at all.
One of the best features of the Samsung Gravity cell phone is its price, which is free with some contract deals.
