Samsung Gravity 2 Metallic Pumpkin Review

The Samsung Gravity 2 – Metallic Pumpkin is the update to the popular original version, the Gravity. This phone is more compact and thinner than its predecessor, plus it offers lots of new features.

When you first look at the Gravity 2 it resembles the average candy bar style phone; but once you start handling it you’ll see that this phone is unique. When you pick it up you’ll see that it has a 2.4-inch display on the front, as well as a numeric keypad, but when you slide open this phone you’ll discover a QWERTY keyboard, which is perfect for sending text messages and email.

The Gravity 2 – Metallic Pumpkin is a thin phone that measures 4.5 x 2.1 x .6 inches and weighs 4.4 ounces. This phone has a high quality build and it feels great when holding it in your hand, but yet it is still compact enough that you can easily slip it into your pocket and carry it around with you.

This is a quad band phone that offers 3G support so you will get great call quality, as well as fast data speeds. There is a phonebook that provides more than enough room for your contacts; you will also find that the Samsung Gravity 2 focuses a great deal on messaging options. With this handset you can send text and multimedia messages, plus there is support for instant message applications, including AIM, Windows Live Messenger, and Yahoo. In addition there is support for several web based email providers; these include Yahoo, Hotmail, and Gmail.

The battery life rating for the Samsung Gravity 2 – Metallic Pumpkin is 5.5 hours of talk time and 12.5 days of standby time, which is very good compared to some mobiles out there.

There is a basic music player included with the Gravity 2, and although this isn’t really considered to be a multimedia phone, the music player does a good job with providing entertainment while you are on the go. There is also a built in 2-megapixel camera that can record video, and the photo and video quality is really quite good.

With the Gravity 2 you will get a solid messaging phone and a lot more, at a reasonable price. If you are in the market for a new phone you might want to consider this mobile. The Samsung Gravity 2 price is even better if you can find a good deal being offered by the carrier.

This phone offers everything that I want in a cell phone. It has a texting keypad, camera, ability to send voice messages with your pictures. The only drawback is the battery life.

Nice phone but has some drawbacks

Simple menu easy for younger users. Slide out keyboard is very nice for texting. Great phone for basic users A good phone with basic features. Solid call quality and average music quality. Looking forward to T-Mobile and Samsung catching up with the accessories.
