Samsung Galaxy S 4G Review
By Ruben Corbo on December 13th, 2011
The Samsung Galaxy S 4G looks very much like the Samsung Vibrant, but there are a number of upgrades with this new smartphone from Samsung. The Galaxy S 4G is an attractive phone that measures 4.82 x 2.54 x 0.39 inches and weighs 4.16 ounces. This phone feels solid in your hand but is still lightweight enough that it is not uncomfortable to carry in your pocket.

On the front of the Samsung Galaxy S 4G there is a large, 4-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen. With such a big display, surfing the Internet and viewing video is much easier than it is on phones with smaller screens. The colors on the display are bright and the picture is sharp enough that text is easy to read.
Some of the basic features that you get with the Samsung Galaxy S 4G include conference calling, a speakerphone, voice dialing, world roaming, as well as text and multimedia messaging. With this smartphone you will also get WiFi, Bluetooth, as well as GPS. There is also a front facing camera for video calling. You will also get a number of extras with the Galaxy S 4G, such as applications like Kindle.
For multimedia the Samsung Galaxy S 4G comes with a built in 5-megapixel camera that will record HD video as well as take still photos. The photo and video quality that you get with this camera is very good. This camera also comes with a number of settings so taking pictures is even easier.
The call quality of the Galaxy S 4G is very good, including when using the speakerphone. The battery is rated for 6.5 hours of talk time and 12.5 days of standby time.
The Samsung Galaxy S 4G is one of the best Android smartphones on the market. It offers a number of upgrades from the Vibrant, but there may not be enough difference between these two phones to justify moving to the Galaxy S 4G if you already own the Vibrant.
