Duel slider phones are becoming a hot item, and with the Samsung Exclaim you’ll get this fun design, plus a whole lot more. One of the main focuses of the Exclaim is media, so you can expect that these features are going to be great, but the Exclaim is also designed to provide a great experience with text and email as well.
Most duel slider phones are quite big, as is the Samsung Exclaim M550; this phone measures 4.45 x 2.24 x 0.67 inches and weighs a hefty, 4.69 ounces. The Exclaim Samsung is still small enough to fit in your pocket, but it probably isn’t as compact as what a lot of people look for in a cell phone design. One of the good points is that with this handset’s size and build, you do get a very sturdy, well-built phone.
Another plus to a larger phone is that it will usually come with a bigger screen, and this is true of the Exclaim Samsung; the screen on this phone measures 2.6-inches and supports 262,000 colors. The navigation buttons on the Exclaim are well designed, so finding your way around this phone won’t be a problem.
Some of the features that you’ll get with the Samsung Exclaim include a phonebook that will support up to 600 contacts, plus there are some basic features, such as a vibrate mode, as well as text and multimedia messaging. You will also get a tip calculator, a calendar, and an alarm clock, along with a world clock, a calculator, a memo pad, and a speakerphone.
There are also several advanced features that come included with the Samsung Exclaim; you will get Bluetooth, voice dialing and voice command, instant messaging, as well as text and multimedia messaging. In addition there are some great built in applications to Social Networking sites such as Facebook and MySpace, plus several other interesting extras.
The music player that comes with the Samsung Exclaim is very nice; it supports a wide variety of music formats that include MP3, AAC, AAC+, WMA. For taking pictures this phone comes with a 2-megapixel camera that can also record video. The photo quality you get with this camera is fair, and probably better than what you find with most camera phones of the same class.
Call quality with this handset is excellent; voices are loud and clear, with no static. The EV-DO speeds are fast so surfing the Internet with your phone won’t be a frustrating experience. The battery life rating for the Samsung Exclaim is 5 hours of talk time, but with average use the battery will likely last longer than this.
The Samsung Exclaim M550 is a nice cell phone that gives you many of the features that you would get with a smartphone, but without the high price tag.
