Samsung A777 Review

When you slide open the Samsung cell phone A777 there is an alphanumeric keypad; although the keypad is spacious enough, the keys are flush and slippery so it may take some time to get accustomed to using this keypad. On the front of this phone is a 2-inch screen that displays 262,000 colors. Text is sharp and easy to see, plus graphics are bright and colorful; the problem is that this display is a little small.

Some of the features you’ll get with the Samsung A777 include a phonebook that supports up to 1,000 contacts, plus they have included some essential features like a vibrate mode, as well as text and multimedia messaging. There is also a speakerphone, and a voice recorder, in addition to a calendar, a task list, and a notepad, plus much more. This phone isn’t without high-end features; you’ll get instant messaging, a mobile web browser, support for POP3 email, as well as some other great applications like YellowPages Mobile.
The A777 is a 3G phone so you will also get access to streaming music and video, as well as music downloads and more. Included with this mobile is a 1.3-megapixel camera that will also record video. This camera comes with several quality settings, in addition to a variety of photography modes. The photo quality is very good, probably better than what you would get with most camera phones in the same class.
Although this is a basic mid range phone you will get some options to personalize your handset; there are a variety of wallpapers, screensavers, and alert tones to choose from. In addition you’ll find some preloaded games onboard, but these are demo versions to get the full versions you will have to purchase and download them.
The call quality you get with the Samsung A777 phone is fairly good; voices come through loud and clear, but with some occasional static. The battery life of this phone is rated 4.5 hours of talk time and 12.5 days of standby time.
For a mid range 3G mobile the Samsung A777 is really not a bad phone; it offers several nice features, as well as good call quality and access to the Internet. Getting a reasonable price on this phone may require signing a contract with the carrier, but if you don’t mind doing this, the A777 Samsung is a good choice.
