Palm Treo Pro Review
By admin on March 23rd, 2010
The Treo Pro by Palm is a Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional phone, which is a great choice if you want a mobile that you can have for business, as well as personal use. You will get some nice features with this phone, including 3G, as well as quad band for world roaming.
Some additional features that come with the Palm Treo Pro 850 include WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth, plus this touchscreen phone has a front facing QWERTY keyboard. With all of the features that you get with the Treo Pro, you can be sure that you are getting one of the most powerful smartphones available today.
The Palm Treo Pro features a thin design and a flush touchscreen; in addition to such features as built in GPS and WiFi. With the Treo Pro running Windows Mobile version 6.1, there is no doubt that you will get some nice business features, along with all of the standard features found on many cell phones.
Aside from the features and applications that you get with Windows Mobile, there is also Bluetooth, as well as 2-megapixel camera with 8x digital zoom. With this camera you can take some decent quality photos, but probably not as good as you would get with a camera-focused mobile phone. To store your photos and media you get 120MB of internal memory, plus you can expand that memory with a microSD card.
For entertainment you get a music and video player, as well as access to such services as Sprint TV. Not only can you take your favorite music along with you wherever you go, but you can watch streaming video right from the Internet. The sound quality for the music player is okay, but doesn’t really standup to the quality of the Sony Walkman series phones.
When you pick up this phone you will find that it is a little large, in fact the Treo Pro is slightly bigger than the iPhone 3G. As long as you don’t mind a phone that is bigger and bulkier than most phones, you will like the Treo Pro by Palm.
The battery life of the Pro is rated for 5 hours of talk time and 250 hours of standby time, though with light to average use you will likely get longer than it is rated for. If you have been avoiding a less expensive phone in favor of the BlackBerry or iPhone, you might want to reconsider; the Treo Pro by Palm is a powerful smartphone that can compete with iPhones, but it isn’t nearly as expensive.
