Palm Treo 755p Review

The Treo 755p by Palm is a slim and stylish phone that has some really great features; what you can expect from this mobile are applications and tools such as Google Maps, Microsoft's Direct Push Technology, instant messaging and much more.

Although you don’t get some of the most popular features in smartphones, such as WiFi, and a QWERTY keyboard, the Palm Palmone Treo 755p is a solid phone that offers some great productivity tools. The 755p measures 4.4 x 2.3 x 0.8 inches and weighs 5.6 ounces; the touchscreen measures 2.4-inches. This phone isn’t light, but it is a high quality phone that is probably more durable that many other smartphones.

The full QWERTY keyboard makes it easy to send email and text messages, though you will find that when you are trying to type, the keyboard is a little cramped. Some of the features you get with the Palm Treo 755p include Microsoft's Direct Push Technology, Microsoft Exchange, as well as support for various email accounts. You also get support for instant messaging with clients such as Yahoo, Microsoft Live, and more.

Some additional features that come with the Treo 755p by Palm include a GPS system that provides text-based directions, plus there is voice command, and a phonebook that is only limited by the amount of available memory. With 3G and an HTML web browser you can stream video and music right from the Internet, without having to pay a subscription for content.

The business professional will like the addition of Documents to Go 8.0; with this you can open, view and edit a variety of different Microsoft documents. You will also get Bluetooth, which is always a great feature to have; in addition there is a built in 1.3-megapixel camera, though it does not have flash. Without flash the colors are not very bright, and the photos lack depth.

The Treo 755p by Palm has a lot of improvements over the previous model, but without WiFi, some may not feel that this phone is worth the extra money, over other basic phones.

With the Treo 755p you get great call quality, when talking on the phone calls are loud and clear. Surfing the Internet with EV-DO support is fast, web pages download quickly, and without any problems, but streaming video lags.

The battery life of this phone is rated for 4.2 hours of talk time and 10 days of standby time, but with average use you may get a little longer out of the battery between charges.

If you are looking for a good smartphone, you may want to look at the Treo 755p by Palm, though it is a little pricey for not having WiFi.
