Nokia Twist Review

The Nokia Twist 7705 is a unique mobile phone that has a combined twist, and square design that actually makes it slightly awkward to use. Though this is by no means a multimedia phone, you do get some good features and the Twist is a solid mobile that performs well.
With the Nokia 7705 Twist you get a mobile phone that is perfectly square; it measures 2.71 x 2.71 x 0.59 inches and weighs only 3.44 ounces. Fortunately the Twist does have rounded corners, and this goes a long way in softening the harsh design. The one good thing about the design is that it makes it incredibly easy to fit the Twist into your back pocket and take it with you.
The Nokia Twist does come with a XHTML browser, though the display on this phone is really much too small to make much use of it, the screen measures 2.4-inches; which is small. On a positive note, when you open this phone, there is a full keyboard, and when you first look at the keyboard it may seem too small to easily type on, but it is much easier than what you might expect.
Some of the features that come with the Nokia Twist phone include a phonebook that holds up to 1,000 contacts, plus some basic features, such as a calculator, a calendar, and an alarm clock. There is also a stopwatch, a world clock, a notepad, a tip calculator, and a speakerphone. For more advanced features you will get Bluetooth, voice dialing, text to speech, as well as text and multimedia messaging. Of course this phone also gives you access to instant messaging, and email.
Some of the multimedia features that you get with the Nokia Twist include a built in 3-megapixel camera with flash. Unfortunately the photo quality that you get with this camera is only about average for a camera phone. One of the good things about this camera is that it does record video, as well as take still photos.
To store your multimedia files the Nokia Twist comes with 119MB of internal memory, but you can expand that memory up to 119MB with a microSD card. The call quality is good, plus if you are hearing impaired, this phone does accommodate M4 and T4 hearing aids.
The battery life of the Nokia Twist phone is rated for 4.5 hours of talk time and 13 days of standby time.
If you don’t mind its quirky design and small display, the Nokia Twist is not a bad mobile phone; it has a high quality build, and performs well.
