Nokia 6650 Review
By admin on March 15th, 2010
Although the Nokia 6650 isn’t the most stylish cell phone on the market, it does perform well, and offers some great mid range features at a reasonable price. What you’ll get with this phone is a bright and colorful display, multimedia, GPS, and Push to Talk, as well 3G.
The 6650 Nokia has a more angular design that many mobile phones these days, it will remind you of the mobiles that were available several years ago, though it is more compact, measuring 3.93 x 1.86 x 0.64 and weighs 3.95 ounces. The external screen measures 1.36-inches and displays information such as the time, date, and caller ID. When you open the Nokia 6650 fold you’ll find a 2.2-inch display that supports 16.7 million colors, and it has a 320x240 pixel resolution so text and images will look great.
You do get some fantastic features with the Nokia 6650 mobile phone, such as essentials like a vibrate mode, text and multimedia messaging, in addition to an alarm clock, and a calendar. There is also a notepad, a calculator, and a voice recorder, as well as a speakerphone. Although the Nokia 6650 isn’t really a smartphone, you will find that it offers some of the same features you would get with a smartphone, including Bluetooth, GPS, voice dialing, and instant messaging, plus much more.
Due to the fact that the Nokia 6650 Flip does come with 3G you will have access to music downloads, as well as streaming video, so there is definitely a multimedia focus to this mobile. Even though the music player is standard, the quality is good and it supports a wide variety of different audio formats so you can have your favorite music with you wherever you go.
Another nice extra that comes with the 6650 Nokia is the built in 2-megapixel camera with flash, plus this camera can also record video, and offers several different photography settings. The photo quality is good, but probably not the best you could get with a camera phone.
With the Nokia 6650 you will get good call quality; calls are loud and clear with little to no static. The 3G feature is fast enough there should be no problems watching streaming video or accessing the Internet.
The battery life of the Nokia 6650 mobile phone is good; you’ll get 4 hours of talk time and 14.5 hours of standby time. For storing your music and photos the 6650 comes with 40MB of built in memory, plus there is the option of expanding the memory up to 8GB with a microSD card.
The Nokia 6650 is a solid mobile phone that offers some good features, and call quality is great. Although this isn’t a flashy phone, it does what it is suppose to do.
