Nokia 2660 Review
By admin on March 8th, 2010
With the Nokia 2660 you get a combination of style and function, all in at an affordable price. This phone was specifically designed as a budget phone, but with a lot more features than what is normally available with a budget device. No matter if this is your first mobile phone, or you are an advanced user looking for a phone that will fit your business needs, the Nokia 2660 cell phone is worth looking at.
The Nokia 2660 is a clamshell flip phone that features two different screens; you get a small external display that provides information such as the time of day, Caller ID, etc. When you open the phone there is 1.8-inch display of a higher resolution. Another feature is GPRS technology; this will allow you access to email and the Internet, even when you are away from your home or office.
Bluetooth technology enables hands free use, plus you get a built in FM radio so you can listen to your favorite radio program no matter where you are. In addition, there is also support for MP3 ringtones, and a phonebook that supports up to 500 contacts.
You will get a long battery life out of the Nokia 2660 Classic, plus with a speakerphone this device is easier than ever to use.
Although this basic phone does offer a few nice features, it lacks many of the features that people want with their cell phones, such as a music player and camera. Navigation also seems to be a problem, as the menu system is a little complicated. Another problem you will notice with this phone is that even though you do have a lot of room to store messages, getting rid of them takes some time. Deleting messages is one of the functions where you will see some lag.
Call quality is another area where the Nokia 2660 could use some improvement; the signal is okay but the volume on calls isn’t loud enough. If there is any noise at all you may not be able to hear the person you are talking with.
The Nokia 2660 Classic is hyped as being a budget phone, and it does sell for a fairly reasonable price, though for what you pay you could probably get a better quality phone if you do some shopping around, possibly even getting a mobile in the same price range that does have a camera and music player.
