Nokia 2330 Review

The Nokia 2330 is a nice looking cell phone that is compact enough that it’s comfortable to hold in your hand. This is a mobile that was built to withstand the stiff competition of the mobile market, and although it is meant to compete, how well it does is another question.

With the Nokia 2330 Classic you get a mobile phone that is small enough to slip easily in your pocket; it measures 107 x 46 x 14 mm and weighs only 90g. With the 2330 you get a built in 3-megapixel camera that comes with several special photography modes including a self-timer and night mode. In addition to taking stills, this camera also records video.

The battery life of the Nokia 2330 isn’t too bad; it is rated for 4.5 hours of talk time and 14 days of standby time. For file storage the 2330 comes with 32MB of internal memory, which should be enough for normal use.

Some additional features include 32 ringtones, plus you can add more. Another nice feature you get with the Nokia 2330 Classic is the ability to use skins, and change the skin on your phone to fit your mood. There is also support for EMS, SMS and Multimedia Messaging, as well as games so that you can keep occupied when you are waiting for an appointment or taking public transportation to commute to work.

The core features that come with the Nokia 2330 include a well-designed calendar, and a phonebook that will hold up to 1000 contacts. There is also predictive text technology, along with EDGE.

The call quality you get with the Nokia 2330 is fair, there should be few, if any dropped calls and the sound is garbled. Aside from all of these basic features, the Nokia 2330 price is good; you should be able to get this phone cheap, if not for free when signing a contact.

There is no doubt that the 2330 is a great option if you are just looking for a basic communication device, but if you want all of the fancy features of many of today’s cell phones, you won’t get them with the Classic Nokia 2330. If you are looking for a nice camera phone, or multimedia mobile, it would be better to look at some of the other Nokia models, but for a basic cell, this mobile isn’t too bad.

Flimsy and basic

Apr 7th, 2010

I got this phone as it was the smallest I could find & seemed to have a lot of features. I guess it is fairly hardwearing owing to the metal keypad. Unfortunately it doesnt have a camera and it's pretty basic. I haven't as yet used it owing to the fact I am unable to remove the back to charge the battery.  Compared to all the phones I've had before the back cover is very flimsy.

Cant even make a call successfully

The sound quality is rubbish. By 'sound' I don't mean downloading songs. I mean simply listening to someone talk on the other end of the line, the primary purpose of a mobile phone.
