If you like the Push to Talk cell phones from Nextel, but think they are just too unsightly, you might want to take a look at the Motorola Stature i9. Aside from the Push to Talk feature, there is also a built in 3.1-megapixel camera, a music player, as well as Bluetooth. The call quality with this phone is fairly good, though the voices sound a little off there is no problem with being able to hear the person on the other end.
There is no doubt that the Motorola i9 Stature is probably the sexiest Nextel phone yet; this handset measures 4.1 x 2.1 x 0.59 inches and is just the right size for slipping into your pocket, although some may find that it is a little heavy as it weighs 4.7 ounces. The soft touch finish feels great when you are holding this phone in your hands, plus it looks nice too.
Some of the features that come with the Motorola Stature i9 include a phonebook that will hold up to 600 contacts, as well as some core features such as a vibrate mode, text and multimedia messaging, a memo pad, and a speakerphone, plus there is a call timer, and an alarm clock. For advanced features the Stature i9 offers voice dialing and commands, Bluetooth, and email support; you also get a voice recorder, and GPS.
The camera that comes with the Motorola Stature takes pictures in 7 different resolutions, plus it has some advanced photography modes such as Macro and auto focus. This camera can also record video, but the photo and video quality just isn’t quite as good as it could be, but probably average for a camera phone.
As for memory, you’ll find that the Motorola Stature i9 features a good amount of internal memory. With this phone you get 128MB of internal memory, plus you can expand the memory up to 8GB with a microSD card.
The music player that comes with the Stature i9 is fairly basic, but the sound is good. This handset also has some personalization options such as a variety of wallpaper and screensavers, and you can choose from different alert tones.
The call quality is very good with the Motorola Stature i9, the signal is static free and voices come through loud and clear. The battery life rating for this phone is about average for this type of handset; it is rated for 3 hours of talk time.
