A mark of the changes in quality that have been made by Motorola can be seen in the recent release of the Motorola Photon 4G, which is absolutely packed with the latest technology and features.

The wide range of great features that are on offer with the Motorola Photon 4G will mean that most users will find this handset to be incredibly useful whether they are using it for personal use or for business. The features and facilities make this one of the most advanced smartphones currently on the market and they include:
- Super fast 1GHz dual-core Tegra 2 SoC processor and 1GB of memory to make the handset one of the quickest handsets around
- Huge 4.3 inch capacitive touch-screen qHD display that offers a resolution of 960 x 540 pixels and can be view in direct sunlight and from almost any angle
- High-speed data downloads and web access using the latest 4G WiMAX technology to connect to the Sprint WiMAX network
- An 8 megapixel camera with auto-focus that offers incredibly photographic output and video capture at 720p HD quality
- The Android GingerbreadĀ 2.3.4 operating system thatĀ provides users with an easy to use interface that can be modified simply and quickly
With the features and facilities that are on offer with the Motorola Photon 4G there are very few handsets on the market that can compete with it and this will make it one of the most popular high-end phones available. This, however, does not mean that the Motorola Photon 4G will be without flaws and it is just as important for users to weigh up the pros and cons as it is with any other cell phone
Pros
- Fast performance: A combination of 1GB of internal memory, the Android Gingerbread 2.3.4 OS and of course the 1GHz dual-core Tegra 2 SoC processor makes this device one of the fastest handsets on the market
- Huge display: Usually most smartphone have display that go up to about 4 inches in size but with this handset users will be able to enjoy their media on a 4.3 inch screen
- Great battery life: Unlike many other Android smartphones the Motorola Photon 4G has a battery life that many would find very impressive with more than 5 hours of regular use
Cons
- Display quality: With such a large screen it seems odd that Motorola have opted for qHD technology rather than AMOLED to run the display as the lower spec can sometimes make the images on the display a little pixelated
- Motorola interface: A pure version of Android Gingerbread OS would have been perfect for this device but unfortunately the widgets and extra apps that have been installed by Motorola and sprint could be a nuisance for some users even if they can be deleted
- Cost: Whilst this handset has a huge list of features and benefits that other smartphone will find hard to beat the cost of the device may by the limiting factor for some users
