Motorola KRZR K1 Review
By admin on March 31st, 2010
Of all the phones in this series the Motorola HRZR K1 black is probably the most attractive of them all; it measures 4.05 x 1.73 x 0.67 inches and is very thin and light, weighing only 3.6 ounces. On the outside of the K1 is a display that supports 65,000 colors, plus there is a 1.9-inch internal display that supports 262,000 colors.
Some of the features that come with the Motorola KRZR K1 include a phonebook that will hold up to 1,000 contacts, plus there are all the usual core features such as a vibrate mode, a voice recorder, as well as text and multimedia messaging. There is also an alarm clock, a calendar, in addition to a calculator.
One of the differences between the Motorola KRZR K1 and the K1m is that the former does sport a better camera. This phone includes a built in 2-megapixel camera, as apposed to the K1m’s 1.3-megapixel camera. There are only a few different settings that come with this camera, but it does feature 8X zoom, plus it shoots video.
Some of the more advanced features include voice commands, email and Bluetooth. One of the drawbacks of the KRZR K1 is that it only comes with 12MB of internal memory, but there is a microSD slot so that you can expand the phone’s memory. You do get a mobile web browser for surfing the Internet too.
With this phone not offering 3G, downloading large files or watching streaming video content isn’t really an option, but there is a basic music player included with the K1. This player will support MP3, AAC, and AAC.
The call quality that you get with the Motorola KRZR K1 is fair, you can hear callers loud and clear, though when there is a lot of background noise the people on the other end may have some problems hearing you. The battery life of this phone is rated for 5.8 hours of talk time and 12.5 days of standby time.
With the Motorola KRZR K1 you do get a mobile that offers good call quality and a decent camera, but you won’t get 3G, plus there are no external music controls. This phone is more attractive that its sibling, but when you compare the performance and features, they are very much the same.
