With the Motorola Droid X you won’t get a small and compact phone, but for the size you do get a number of nice features. The Droid X measures 5 x 2.6 x 0.4 inches and weighs 5.47 ounces. Motorola isn’t exactly known for producing small Android phones, but the high quality materials that went into manufacturing this phone makes for a solid smartphone.
On the front of the Motorola Droid X there is a beautiful 4.3-inch touchscreen that displays sharp text and vibrant colors. This touchscreen comes with Swype and is very responsive and easy to use. The Droid X runs the Android 2.1 operating system enhanced with Motoblur.
Some of the features that come with the Motorola Droid X include a web browser with Adobe Flash Player 10.1. When surfing the web with this phone, the experience is much like it is with your laptop or home PC. You can watch streaming video, including entire movies right on your phone. The Droid X Motorola will also record HD video, plus this phone comes with a built in 8-megapixel camera with dual LED flash, as well as auto focus and digital zoom.
A few of the more basic features that you get with the Motorola Droid X include support for email, Skype Mobile, a speakerphone, voice command, as well as text and multimedia messaging. The Droid X also comes with WiFi, 3G, Bluetooth and GPS.
The call quality that you get with the Motorola Droid X is good, though you may encounters some problems with background noise during calls. The photo quality of the camera is okay, but pictures look better when shot outdoors during the day. The Motorola Droid X has a battery rating of 7.5 hours of talk time and 9 days of standby time.
There is no doubt that the Droid X is one of the best Android phones available from Motorola.
