Motorola Defy Review
By admin on July 27th, 2011
With the Motorola Defy you’ll get a phone that’s durable enough to handle a rugged lifestyle, but you don’t have to give up all the best features. This phone comes with a built in 5-megapixel camera, WiFi and much more. The Defy isn’t exactly the smallest and most compact mobile phone, but it is smaller than some. This phone measures 4.2 x 2.3 x 0.5 inches. On the front of this handset is a large, 3.7-inch display that is constructed of Gorilla glass so it is more resistant to cracking and breaking.
The Motorola Defy operates with the Android 2.1 system so you’ll have access to all of the Google apps available with Android phones. Some of the basic features that you get with this phone include visual voice mail, voice dialing, conference calling, and a speakerphone, as well as text and multimedia messaging.
Some of the more advanced features that you get with the Motorola Defy include Bluetooth, GPS, WiFi, and 3G. This phone also features WiFi calling. With the Defy you get QuickOffice so it’s easy to stay productive, even when on the go. In addition, you’ll get easy access to a number of social networking and other apps, including YouTube and Blockbuster.
The built in 5-megapixel camera comes with LED flash and can take still photos as well as video. The photo quality isn’t the best, but it’s good enough that you can use this phone camera for taking pictures if you stand alone camera isn’t available.
The call quality that you get with the Motorola Defy is fairly good; callers come through loud and clear. The battery is rated for 8 hours of talk time and 18 days of standby.
