Motorola Bali Review
By Samuel Cook on December 9th, 2011
The Motorola Bali does have plenty of features to share, but not all of them are of excellent quality. This flip phone packs in a 2.2 inch screen but it’s not of the best quality. This will be a disappointment to some, but you also get a smaller screen on the outside of the phone that is full color and not just able to display the time and date, so perhaps they have made up for the interior shortcomings in this way instead.

The phone measures 3.8 inches long by 1.8 inches wide and is 0.6 inches thick when closed. Thankfully the antenna is internal so you don’t have an annoying stubby little antenna poking out of the top, as was the case with some similar but older clamshell designs. There is no doubt that this phone is designed primarily for calling and messaging, and the good news is that the quality of the calls is very good indeed. However if you’re thinking of using headphones with it beware – the jack is not a standard one.
In truth most phone users nowadays want to have a wide range of reasonable quality features on their mobiles. The Motorola Bali does provide many of these, packing in a music player and a camera as well. But the quality of these two items is questionable, so if you are going to use them often you may be better off looking for something else that packs a bit more of a punch. There are some external controls on the front of the phone, offering you a chance to play and pause a music video or go to the beginning or end. You can also cut the sound without flipping open the phone. However since the quality of the player is questionable some users may find these buttons virtually obsolete.
Clearly there is work to be done when it comes to the multimedia features of the Motorola Bali. However if you are looking for a phone that provides a range of messaging and calling services, you could certainly do a lot worse.
