LG Xenon Review
By admin on March 23rd, 2010
The LG Xenon mobile phone is available through AT&T wireless; this handset is a messaging focused device that gives you all of the most popular features. Some of the nice features that come with the LG Xenon phone include a slide out QWERTY keyboard, as well as a touchscreen display. Some of the extras you get with this handset include a 2-megapixel camera, a music player, as well as a full HTML browser, and Bluetooth.
The LG Xenon cell phone looks a lot like many other touchscreen phones; it measures 4.16 x 2.11 x 0.62 inches and weighs 3.18 ounces. This phone is thin and compact so it will easily slip into your pocket or handbag.
On the front of the Xenon is a 2.8 inch touchscreen; although this display is smaller than average, it provides a sharp and colorful picture. Navigating is done entirely with the touchscreen, though this phone is very responsive so navigating the interface is fairly easy. Sending text messages is also a simple task, thanks to the slide out QWERTY keyboard.
Some of the features that you get with the LG Xenon include a phonebook that will hold up to 500 contacts, which is fewer than what you get with a lot of mobile phones, but probably adequate enough to accommodate most people. Some of the core features that come with the Xenon include a vibrate mode, a speakerphone, as well as text and multimedia messaging. You also get a calendar, an alarm clock, and a calculator, in addition to a voice recorder, voice command, and a notepad.
The LG Xenon also comes with some nice advanced features such as Bluetooth, email access, Assisted GPS, and of course instant messaging with such IM clients as Yahoo and Windows Live. With this mobile you can watch streaming video and music, plus you can surf the Internet, though the browser does have some issues.
To listen to your favorite music while on the go the LG Xenon features a basic music player that supports a variety of file formats, including MP3, AAC, AAC+, and WMA. To store your media files there is 80MB of internal memory, but you can expand the phone’s memory with a microSD card.
Another nice feature that comes with the Xenon is a built in 2-megapixel camera; with this camera you can take still pictures, as well as record video. The call quality is fair, but there is some static; on speakerphone callers come through loud and clear. The battery life for the LG Xenon phone is rated for 4 hours of talk time and 11 days of standby time.
If you are looking for a great touchscreen messaging phone, the LG Xenon is a good choice.
