LG Vortex Review

With the LG Vortex you get a phone that also looks very much like the Optimus T. This phone measures 4.47 x 2.32 x 0.52 and weighs 4.7 ounces. On the front of the Vortex is a large 3.2-inch touchscreen that displays colorful graphics and crisp text. Although this isn’t the biggest or most advanced touchscreen, it is still very nice.

This Android smartphone features voice dialing over Bluetooth, great Facebook integration and a web browser. One problem that you will encounter with the Vortex is that there is no flash support. You can view YouTube videos but you must use a third party application.
Some additional features that come with the LG Vortex include WiFi and 3G, as well as GPS. Plus this phone will act as a 3G hotspot for other devices. Along with text and multimedia messaging, you also get preloaded apps for Facebook and Twitter, as well as instant messaging through Windows Live, Yahoo, and AOL messaging.
For basic features, the LG Vortex includes conference calling, a speakerphone, a voice recorder, visual voice mail, as well as voice dialing. Multimedia features consist of the standard Android media player that will support a variety of audio and video file formats, plus there is a built in 3.2-megapixel camera that will record video as well as take still photos. Picture quality is okay, but colors are not as bright as they could be.
The call quality that you get with the LG Vortex is okay, but it could be a lot better. You may encounter some voice distortion during calls. The battery life rating is great for an Android phone. You should get over 7 hours of talk time and about 20 days of standby between charges.
