LG Versa VX9600 Review

If you like the look of the touchscreen mobile phones, but don’t really like using them, you may want to take a look at the LG Versa VX9600. With this phone you get a detachable QWERTY keyboard so it is easy to switch between touchscreen mobile and manual.
When closed, the LG VX9600 looks a lot like the LG Dare; it measures 4.2 X 2.07 X 0.5 inches and weighs 3.8 ounces. On the front of this phone is a 3-inch high resolution touchscreen, though the screen is a little smaller than the display on the Dare, it provides a better picture due to the fact that it is a higher resolution display.
Although this is a highbred phone that can be switched to manual entry, you can easily use the touchscreen because the interface is simple and very responsive. The call quality that you get with the LG Versa is okay, but it could be a lot better. You will get good reception and the volume and clarity of calls is good, but when you are making calls outdoors there tends to be some reception problems.
One of the best features of the LG Versa phone is its web browser. This browser comes with flash support so you should have no problem viewing flash websites. In addition, web pages download fast so you can surf the Internet at high speeds, right from your mobile phone.
The Versa comes with some very nice messaging features; you will get access to your email, have the capability of sending text and multimedia messages, as well as instant messages; there is support for Windows Live, Yahoo and more. Keeping in touch is easy when you have this phone.
The LG Versa comes with a basic music player so that you can take your favorite music with you wherever you go. The music player is one area where you might be a little unhappy; it is very basic, and does tend to have some issues. In addition to a music player, you also get a video player that supports MP4 files, plus you can watch streaming video content.
Another multimedia feature that comes with the Versa is a 2-megapixel camera that has built in LED flash and auto focus. Along with taking still pictures, you can also use this camera to record video.
The LG Versa VX9600 is a cell phone that can do it all, but it doesn’t really stand up to some of the competition as far as quality. Considering the price of the Versa, you may want to do some shopping around before deciding on this phone.
