LG Optimus S Review
By Ruben Corbo on July 27th, 2011
The LG Optimus S looks very much like the Optimus T mobile from LG; it measures 4.7 x 2.32 x 052 inches and comes with a soft finish so it is comfortable to hold in your hand. On the front of Optimus S is a 3.2-inch LCD screen. This screen displays bright and beautiful colors, plus text looks crisp and clear.

Although the LG Optimus S is technically an entry-level smartphone, it still offers a number of features. With this phone you can dial phone numbers over Bluetooth, store your apps on a memory card, plus you get easy access to Facebook. This phone does come with a browser for surfing the Internet, but unfortunately there is no flash support so you cannot stream video in your browser.
Some additional features that come with the LG Optimus S include support for 3G, plus you get WiFi and GPS. For basic features this phone includes conference calling, voice dialing, voice mail, as well as text and multimedia messaging. The GPS on this phone can be used with Google Maps for easy navigation. The Optimus S also offers great email support.
With the LG Optimus S you will also get a music and video player, but it is basically the same as what you get with most Android phones. There is also a built in 3.2-megapixel camera that will shoot video as well as take still photos, though it does not come with LED flash. To get good quality photos with this camera you will probably have to take pictures outdoors.
The call quality of the LG Optimus S is great. Callers come through loud and clear. Battery life for this phone is rated for 11 hours of talk time and over 18 days of standby time, which is great for a smartphone.
If you are looking for an inexpensive Android smartphone, the LG Optimus is worth checking out.
