LG Glance Review
By admin on March 31st, 2010
The LG VX7100 Glance is a well made, candy bard style phone that has an attractive dark plastic finish with aluminum trim. This phone weighs 2.92 ounces and is so light that you will barely notice it when it is in your pocket. On the front of the Glance is a 2-inch screen, and although the display would be a lot better if it had been larger, it does provide a sharp and vibrant picture.
The LG Glance VX7100 Gold features an attractive user interface that is easy to use, even if you are a novice. With this phone you get a lot of different features such as text and multimedia messaging, as well as mobile email. You can also use this device to send instant messages with such messaging clients as Yahoo and Windows Live.
Some additional features that come with the Glance LG include a calculator, calendar, and tip calculator, plus an alarm clock, world clock, as well as voice commands, and notepad. There is also a built in GPS system that gives you turn-by-turn directions, plus there is also a music player, as well as a camera. You will be able to get all of those unexpected snapshots that you miss because you never have your digital camera with you.
Although the LG VX7100 Glance is primarily a basic phone meant for making phone calls, the call quality is not as good as it should be. The volume is too low and you may notice an echo at times; this poor quality is just as evident when using the speakerphone.
The battery life for the Glance is rated for 4.33 hours of talk time and 350 hours of standby time. There is no doubt that this phone is very stylish and offers a fun and easy user interface, but the features that count just don’t live up to expectation. You can easily find other mobile phones in the same price range that would offer a much better user experience.
