LG Fathom Review
By admin on July 27th, 2011
With the LG Fathom you get a phone that offers both, a full touchscreen display, as well as slide out QWERTY keyboard. It is slightly larger than some smartphones measuring 4.5 x 2.2 x 0.7 inches with a weight of 5.4 ounces. Although this phone is a little bigger and heavier, the result is a solid and well-constructed smartphone.
On the front of the LG Fathom is a 3.2-inch resistive. Like many resistive touchscreens this one is not as responsive as a capacitive display. Though the touchscreen is resistive, it does display vibrant colors and crisp text.
Some of the features that you get with the LG Fathom include international compatibility. If you are traveling internationally you can switch SIM cards and still use your phone. In addition to this, the Fathom comes with the improved Explorer browser, as well as Microsoft Office Mobile suite so that if you are a business professional you can stay productive, even while on the go.
For basic features the LG Fathom offers email support, a calendar, voice command, conference calling and a speakerphone. Of course you also get text and multimedia messaging, along with text to speech. There are also a number of fun and useful apps included with this smartphone.
There are several advanced features included with the LG Fathom. This phone offers support for Bluetooth, plus you get WiFi. For multimedia features the Fathom comes with the Windows Media Player so that you can view video and listen to music with your mobile phone. Windows Media Player supports a number of different video and audio files.
The Fathom comes with a built in 3.2-megapixel camera that will record video as well as take still photos. The photo quality that you get with this camera is probably average and what you would expect from most phone cameras.
The call quality that you get with the LG Fathom is great, and it has a battery life rating of 7 hours of talk time and up to 20 days of standby.
