By admin on July 26th, 2011
Although the LG Ally may look more like a feature phone than a smartphone, it offers some very impressive features. This phone measures 4.56 x 2.22 x 0.62 inches and weighs 5.57 ounces. You couldn’t consider the Ally light, but it isn’t the heaviest smartphone on the market.
On the front of the LG Ally is a beautiful 3.2-inch touchscreen that is protected by tempered glass and looks crisp and bright, even when viewed in sunlight. When you slide the screen open you get a four row QWERTY keyboard that’s easy to use so sending email and text messages is simple.
With the LG Ally running Android 2.1 you’ll get all of the usual Google features like Google Maps, Gmail and Google talk just to name a few. Additional features that you get with the Ally include an app for YouTube, visual voice mail, text to speech recognition, text and multimedia messaging, and voice command. Of course you will get some advanced features such as WiFi, Assisted GPS, and Bluetooth, plus if you want more apps for the Ally you will have easy access to the Android Marketplace.
For those that use their phones for social networking the LG Ally comes with Socialite. With this application you can link all of your Twitter and Facebook contacts with your contact list, in addition to this you can easily access these social networking sites.
Business professionals will also like the email features that are included with the LG Ally. An additional feature that you get with this phone is Microsoft QuickOffice for easy viewing and editing of documents.
For multimedia features the LG Ally comes with a music player, as well as a 3.2-megapixel camera that includes zoom and flash. The photo quality that you get with this camera isn’t the best, but you do get a number of editing options.
The LG Ally offers great call quality and the battery life for this phone is rated at 7.5 hours of talk time and over 20 days of standby time.
