LG Accolade Review
By admin on March 31st, 2010
With the LG Accolade VX5600 you get a nice looking phone that features a glossy grey finish; it measures 3.56 X 1.83 X 0.72 inches and weighs 3 ounces. Most LG Accolade reviews indicate that this phone is sturdy and feels solid when you hold it in your hand. The Accolade has an easy to use keypad, as well as some basic features, such as Bluetooth, duel display, as well as 1.3-megapixel camera.
The simple design of this flip phone is meant to make communication simple. Though it doesn’t place a lot of emphasis on extras, it is an okay communication device. The call quality is fair, though not so good with the speakerphone; in addition the LG VX5600 Accolade does not record video.
One of the better features of the Accolade is that it is free when you sign a service contract agreement with Verizon Wireless. Some of the features that you get with the LG Accolade Gray include a phonebook that will hold up to 1000 contacts, plus there is a notepad, world clock, and a stopwatch, as well as an alarm clock. There is a calendar, tip calculator, and 25 polyphonic ringtones, plus multimedia and text messaging.
Though there are not a lot in the way of advanced features, the LG Accolade does offer a few, including access to your email, support for GPS, as well as voice command, and a mobile web browser. For hands free use there is also Bluetooth.
Some of the multimedia features that come with the LG Accolade Gray include a 1.3-megapixel camera that has several different photography settings. Unfortunately this camera produces dark pictures, even when the lighting is sufficient.
You don’t get any games with this phone, but you do have the option of downloading games to it. The LG VX5600 Accolade is a good choice if all you want is a basic cell phone for calls, but don’t expect anything too advanced with this mobile or you will be a little disappointed.
