HTC Wildfire S in White Review

This smartphone packs in a touch screen design and thus benefits from a larger screen size than phones which opt for the integrated keyboard. However since the phone measures just 2.3 inches wide and a mere 4 inches high, it doesn’t leave a lot of room for the touch screen keyboard when it pops up. Indeed this is one of the major downsides to the HTC Wildfire S – many users find it difficult to use even when they are sitting still. Texting on the go isn’t very user friendly, and unfortunately there are few solutions on the horizon for this feature.

However when it comes to weight and appearance the HTC Wildfire S has plenty of plus point. The white and silver exterior is cool and unusual looking, while remaining eye catching at all times. It certainly makes a change from the usual dark and dull exteriors we see on so many phones. And with a weight of just 3.7 ounces it is the perfect phone to tuck into your pocket.
The screen is a practical 3.2 inches in size, which is appealing for such a small phone. It offers 320 by 480 pixels thus offering good quality pictures and videos, because the Wildfire S can offer you both of these features as well. The camera boasts 5 megapixels so it is rather more impressive than the on board offerings provided by some other manufacturers. The video recording should be good enough to suit most people, but the more experienced video makers among you will probably find it wanting in terms of quality.
Getting back to the internet capabilities of this phone, it provides you with on board YouTube – perfect if you want to upload the videos you take with your new phone – and Android Market. This means you can download any apps that are suitable for your phone, to make it more your own. Put simply, the internet is a joy to use on this phone, provided of course you don’t need to use the keyboard.
