HTC Evo Shift 4G Review

With the HTC Evo Shift 4G you get a mobile that offers high quality performance, along with a high-end design. The Evo Shift is smaller than its predecessor, the Evo; this phone measures 4.6 x 2.3 x 0.6 inches and weighs 5.6 ounces. Of course, for a smaller size you will give up screen size. The Evo Shift 4G comes with a 3.6-inch display, which is more than big enough for most uses, but viewing video or browsing the Internet could be more difficult.

The HTC Evo Shift 4G is a slide phone and one of its main attractions is its physical keyboard. If you use your phone for sending text messages and email, you will love this keyboard. The keys are large and spaced well enough that using the keyboard on this phone is simple.
Some of the features that you get with the HTC Evo Shift 4G include support for both 3G and 4G. With this phone you can have a mobile hotspot wherever you need one and with a faster connection you can surf the Internet at higher speeds. The higher speeds also provides for a smooth playback when streaming video.
Along with some of the basic features that you would expect from a mobile phone, you also get some advanced features with the Evo Shift, including WiFi, built in GPS. Some of the calling features that are included with this phone are speakerphone, conference calling, smart dialing as well as voice commands.
For multimedia features the HTC Evo Shift 4G comes with a built in 5-megapixel camera, as well as access to the Kindle store, and Amazon MP3 downloads. Along with these extras this phone adds support for social networking apps, including Twitter.
The call quality with the HTC Evo Shift 4G is fairly good, even when using the speakerphone. This phone also offers long battery life with a rating of 6 hours of talk time so you should only have to recharge this phone every couple of days.
One of the downfalls of the Evo Shift is that there is no front facing camera, but aside from this, it is a solidly built smartphone that offers some great features.
