HTC Amaze 4G in White Review

All the features on this phone have been improved, and nothing has been spared in making it a market leading product. It uses version 3 of the HTC Sense interface. Navigation is made easy and seamless on the phone and the interface is set in an attractive display. This is aided by the sharp colours and crisp quality of the screen – overall, the users interaction with the phone is enhanced with the Amaze 4G.

The phone is 5.12 inches in height, 2.56 inches in width and 0.46 inches in girth. Its metal construction gives it a slightly weighty feel, but this seems worth it considering the quality feel of the product. The attractive design is similarly true of the white version of the phone; its exterior compliments the general handling of the phone as well as the sharp colour contrast evident in the screen’s display.
The new versions of Sense and Android Gingerbread improve the user’s options for customizing the phones layout. Simple tasks such as creating shortcuts are made easier. Four shortcut options can now be created to your favourite apps next to the display of the date and time. These are set by default but can be modified at a later date.
This shining beacon of HTC achievement would not however be as impressive if it were not for its 8-megapixel camera. The camera is one of the best performing cameras currently on the market, and not just for its high megapixel count. It offers two new features, SmartShot and Perfect Pics. These are convenience options that allow you to produce the best quality pictures. Though these are great additions to HTC’s camera, the best bit about the Amaze 4G remains to be ability to record in 1080p. The HD videos are of an equal quality to the pictures. It gives phone users a real reason to use the video recording feature, something that is usually passed on with other phones in favour of a dedicated recorder.
The phone offers an impressive 6 hours of battery talk time, a steady improvement over previous models. The speeds offered by 4G are a respectable improvement over 3G, but it is clear it is yet to reach its full potential. Still, it is a nice addition to a long list of qualities that this phone possesses.
