According to a recent report, a rising number of American people are using their cell phones in the bathroom! Whilst the bathroom is a place that is used for many things, such as getting washed and brushing teeth or taking a bath and using the loo. However, these days it has also become a popular place for Americans to use their cell phones based on figures that have been released.
The figures show that a massive three quarters of Americans who have cell phones admit that they use their devices in the bathroom. The study was carried out by integrated marketing agency, 11 Mark. The data showed that many Americans used their phones for texting, making voice calls and even for surfing the Internet whilst in the bathroom.
A quarter of Americans admitted that they did not even go to the bathroom without having their phone on them and officials believe that the new data shows just how connected the nation has become. The survey involved polling around one thousand American cell phone users and showed that both men and women were using cell phones in bathrooms on a pretty equal level, with just a couple of percent between the figures.
An official involved in the study said: “The writing is on the stall. This study confirms what we all know – that the last private place is no longer private. And, that the ‘mobile-everywhere’ phenomenon is flushing out a host of new opportunities for savvy communicators.”
