Blackberry Pearl 8110 Review

The BlackBerry 8110 measures 107 x 61 x 13mm and weighs only 90g; this phone is compact, but the real news with this phone is that it has GPS and BlackBerry Maps. When using your GPS system to find your way around you should have no problem; this GPS system is fast, picking up satellite signals in as little as ten seconds. The one problem with the GPS system is that the display is a little too small to really see the maps.
Despite the screen size, there is no denying that the Black Berry Pearl 8110 is a great for the professional, especially considering the superior email capabilities of this phone. The 8110 Pearl supports 10 email addresses, and you can access your corporate email in real time. There is also a document viewer so that you can view attachments in a variety of formats, such as Word, Excel, Powerpoint and PDF. There is also support for instant messaging, which is great for keeping in touch while on the go.
For entertainment, this phone comes with a music player, as well as some preloaded games, plus you can download more games. Of course there are all of the usual organizing tools, such as a calendar and calculator. The 8110 Pearl comes with 64MB of memory, plus the phone has microSD slot for expanding that memory. The battery life of this phone is rated for 4 hours of talk time and 360 hours of standby time.
Unfortunately, one of the major drawbacks of the BlackBerry Pearl 8110 is that it does not offer a high quality camera. This mobile comes with a built in 2-megapixel camera, and although you won’t get the best pictures from this camera, it is probably adequate for getting those unexpected moments. Another feature that the 8110 Pearl doesn’t have is 3G, but it comes with EDGE, as well as WiFi. With both of these features you will be able to stay connected to the Internet, no matter where you are. The new trackball that comes with the BlackBerry Pearl 8110 makes surfing the Internet a fun and easy experience.
The password protect feature of the BlackBerry 8110 will help to ensure that all of your information stays secure. There is no doubt that this phone is not perfect, but it is a great option if you are looking for a business friendly mobile. Due to the fact that it does come with some multimedia features, the BlackBerry Pearl 8110 could also double as a mobile phone for personal use.
