Blackberry Curve 9350 Review

Firstly, the 9350 makes improvements on the already slim design of the previous model. It is part of Blackberry’s general improvements made to the latest Blackberry’s in the 9000 series which use the new OS 7, including the 9900 and 9930. Understandably, this is one of its biggest selling options. Its affinity with the latest line of Blackberry smart phones puts it in good company, and the improvements that it gains from the new OS 7 do not disappoint. These improvements include voice-activated Universal Search and a faster web experience with HTML 5 support.

Additionally, the phone possesses the new NCF feature (Near Field Communications). This is something we have seen in the latest batch of Blackberry handsets. NCF technology allows Blackberry users to link up with other NCF-enabled devices or official Blackberry accessories.
The latest edition of the Social Feeds application (2.0) also gives the phone a nice touch. The application allows for optimal social integration between different social media platforms, including Facebook and Twitter. The application gives the Blackberry handset a modest advantage over competing phones in the same price bracket, particularly with the growing prevalence of social media as the dominant medium for peer to peer communication.
Outside of the advantages of the new OS 7, the phone also comes with some appreciated improvements to hardware. The resolution has been increased over its processor, now offering a more respectable 480x360 (though still with its 2.44 inch size display). It also comes with an improved 800GHz processor. Coupled with the performance increases that OS 7 offers, this gives the phone a higher level of performance. It is seamless in all places, even when loading the more typically strenuous apps. The one downside to this however is that the phone only offers 512MB in internal memory. Considering the standardised 8GB of memory typically seen on the market these days, this comes as a disappointment. Still, this issue can be alleviated by purchasing a microSD card, which can offer up to 32GB in data memory.
The phone uses a 5-megapixel camera with a LED flash. Whilst this is in no way the best camera on the market, it is nevertheless a significant improvement over previous models. The photos produced are of an average to moderate quality.
