Purple Blackberry Curve Review

The BlackBerry Curve 8530 Purple is an updated version of the 8520; it is a nicely designed and easy to use smartphone. If you have never owned a BlackBerry, the purple BlackBerry Curve is a great starting point for new users.

Unlike other BlackBerry phones, the Curve 8530 really looks good; it is all black and features a space age design that is stylish, while at the same time this smartphone is designed with ease of use in mind. Advanced users might not have a lot of interest in this phone due to the fact that it does lack some of the high-end features, as it is an entry-level smartphone.

What you will get with the BlackBerry Curve in purple is an optical trackpad, as well as dedicated media controls, and built in WiFi. You also get the famous BlackBerry keyboard, but if you have never used a BlackBerry in the past, this keyboard will take some getting accustomed to.

Some additional features that you will find included with the BlackBerry Curve purple is built in GPS, which is a great feature if you are the type of person that likes to travel, but hates to get lost when in an unfamiliar city. The preinstalled browser that comes with the Curve is basically the same browser that is included with the Tour, but using this phone to surf the web is a lot nicer with the WiFi feature.

Even though the purple BlackBerry Curve 8530 is meant to be a budget friendly, entry-level phone, it does offer some high-end features. In fact, it just might be a better phone than the BlackBerry Tour. The only real advantage that the Tour has over the Curve 8530 is that it does feature international roaming, and a better keyboard.

Some of the features you can expect with the BlackBerry Curve 8530 Purple include 3G, Bluetooth, and a 2-megapixel camera. The photo quality you get with this camera is average at best, so it wouldn’t be advisable to throw away your stand-alone camera.

Some of the drawbacks of the Curve 8530 BlackBerry include its inadequate, low-resolution screen. Graphics and pictures just don’t look great on this display. Even though the Curve 8530 does not offer world roaming; this should not be a major problem if you don’t often travel internationally.

Aside from these few problems, there is no doubt that the BlackBerry Curve 8530 is one of the best entry-level smartphones that you will find; it gives you all of the features most people want, but at a value price. Look online to find the best price and deals offered by Sprint on the BlackBerry Curve 8530 purple.

Curve 8530

Wifi, has to be one of the best things about the phone. Lots of apps, the design is great and it makes it small enough to slip into your pocket. Excellent messaging and an average call quality. keyboard very good. Battery life needs a bit to be desired, quite short.

This phone is not as good as you might think for a Blackberry. It lacks voice quality, battery life is next to useless. Screen is not that bright. Very very dissapointed in this phone. Changing immediately.

I like the style of the Blackberry's design which is why I buy them, apart from the way the phone does all I want a phone to do. Excellent messaging usually good call quality (this one not so good), but good enough. lots of apps, but battery still not quite powerful enough, doesn't last to long. In my opinion a slightly below average phone, not to usual standard.

Light, better web access, WIFI is good, but kills the battery when left on. Battery life is pitiful. Voice quality is poor, and thats as far as I want to go with this review. Not a good phone, not up to Blackberry's usual standard.
