Blackberry Curve 8520 White Review

Unlike the Bold 9000, the BlackBerry Curve 8520 White has a lower resolution screen, though you can still view images in bright and brilliant color. The does put some emphasis on media, which is great. On the side of the phone you get a 3.5mm headphone jack so that you can plug your favorite earphones in and listen to your music.
The core features of the BlackBerry are basically the same on the BlackBerry Curve White 8520. One welcome change that you’ll get with this phone is an optical trackpad, which means that you won’t have the problem of the ball sticking like what would happen in some of the older models.
Another nice feature of the BlackBerry Curve 8520 White is that it offers out of the box support for Mac so that you can sync with iTunes, plus much more. This model does have WiFi, but doesn’t have GPS or 3G. With the WiFi capabilities, together with a calling plan that includes the use of hotspots, you can make phone calls that do not count against your minutes; this can save you a lot of money.
The BlackBerry Curve 8520 White also comes with a 2-megapixel camera built in; although the camera does provide fair image quality for photographs, it won’t replace your stand alone digital camera. The colors in the pictures don’t seem to be quite as vibrant as they should be.
Call quality and reception is good, so there should be no problem with dropped calls or sound distortion, and there is little trouble with background noise. The sound quality on the speakerphone is also good. You should also get a lot of battery life from this phone, with about 7 hours of talk time between battery charges.
With the BlackBerry Curve 8520 you get a nice smartphone that offers all of the quality features that the BlackBerry is known for, plus WiFi and a lot more. This is a phone that is worth considering if you want a device that can be used for business, and personal.
