Blackberry Curve Frost Reviews

The BlackBerry Curve 8520 Frost is an entry-level smartphone, and because it is a basic phone, it doesn’t have some of the real flashy features that you’ll find with other smartphones. What you won’t get with this phone is a high-resolution screen that comes with other BlackBerry models, and there is no GPS.

What you will get with the BlackBerry Curve Frost 8520 is a solid smartphone that provides you with all of the core features that you are likely to use the most. The 8520 Frost comes in a very attractive design that includes dedicated media controls. This is definitely a quality phone that does what it is suppose to do. The main drawback of this phone is the price, which is a little steep considering that it is an entry-level phone with few extras.

The BlackBerry 8520 Curve closely resembles the Curve 8900; it measures 4.3 inches tall X 2.3 inches wide X 0.5 inch thick and weighs about 3.7 ounces. On the front of the phone is a 2.46-inch screen, but due to the fact that this is a lower end BlackBerry model, you won’t get the same, high screen resolution as you do with other models, though the images still look great. To ensure that you do get the best picture possible with the screen, it does have some controls that can be adjusted, plus you can adjust the size of the text.

Although you won’t get some of the high-end features with the Curve 8520 Frost, you do get quad band world roaming, plus there is voice activated dialing, a speakerphone, conference calling, as well as text and multimedia messaging. Along with all of these features, the 8520 Curve supports Bluetooth, and you will get a contact list that is only limited by the available memory.

One of the best features of the BlackBerry Curve 8520 Frost is WiFi, with this feature you can make, as well as receive unlimited calls over a wireless network. This feature can help you save a lot of money on your mobile service bill. Like many BlackBerry phones, the 8520 Curve Frost puts a lot of focus on email capabilities; with this smartphone you can have access to your corporate email, plus it supports up to 10 POP3 email accounts.

Some additional features include an attachment viewer so that you can view documents in different formats, in addition to this there is a 2-megapixel camera, which is great for getting all of those candid pictures. For Social Networking, the BlackBerry Curve 8520 Frost supports several applications, including Facebook and MySpace.

The BlackBerry Curve 8520 Frost is an entry-level smartphone that gives you basic features without the fancy frills, but it is a high quality phone.

I wasn't dissappointed when I bought my Blackberry. I am pleased with the way it is easy to use. The camera isn't up to much, but I didn't buy it for a camera. It is the ideal phone for me. Well done Blackberry.
