Blackberry Curve 8350i without Camera Review

If you are looking for a smartphone with Direct Connect, you may be glad to know that now there is a BlackBerry available with this feature. The BlackBerry Curve 8350i without camera now has this option, as well as many more upgrades.

Although this smartphone doesn’t offer a lot of speed when it comes to data transfer, you do get WiFi radio, which may be enough to make up for lack of speed. Some of the extras that come with the BlackBerry 8350i include an upgraded operating system. With the OS 4.6 you get a better document editing software, which makes this a perfect mobile for the business user.

The BlackBerry 8350i phone is designed in much the same way as the other BlackBerry phones in this series, though it is a little bigger, measuring 4.4 X 2.4 X 0.7; it also weighs more at 4.8 ounces. On the front of the 8350i BlackBerry there is a 2.4-inch LCD screen that comes with light sensing technology. With this technology the brightness of the screen is automatically adjusted to compensate for the lighting conditions you are in at any given time.

Call quality on the BlackBerry Curve 8150i smartphone is good, with calls coming through loud and clear; the sound quality of the speakerphone and the push to talk feature is also very good. Aside from call quality there are many useful and fun features that come with this mobile phone, such as the Pocket Express information aggregator so that you can keep up to date on news and more. There is also a lot of focus put on instant messaging programs so that it is easy to keep in touch with your friends and family. Some of the instant messaging programs include Google Talk and Yahoo Messenger.

The multimedia options that come with the BlackBerry Curve 8350i without camera include a basic multimedia player that supports a variety of file formats. The music and video playback is very good, considering that media isn’t the main focus of this phone. To store your files the 8350i comes with 128MB of internal storage, plus you can expand the phone’s memory up to 1GB with a microSD card.

Some of the drawbacks that you’ll find with the BlackBerry 8350i include its tendency for slow data transfer, plus the memory card slot is behind the battery, which can make it a little difficult to transfer cards. Aside from these things, there is also the fact that the 8350i is a little bigger than others of this series. Though it’s not perfect, this phone is definitely a high quality smartphone and worth looking into if you are in the market for a new mobile.

Curve 8350i (no camera)

The RIM BlackBerry Curve 8350i is a phone i really like for the connectivity this phone provides. The usability has also  impressed me. The thing I am less positive about is the battery. The length of charge is not good.

I have only just bought the phone ,but at this moment in time I don't like it. Should of gone for another model and then it may of been more pleasing to use.
