iPhone 4S 64GB Review

Under high load the phone performs well, especially when multitasking between numerous apps. So with the performance box ticked what of the phone’s features? Well, anyone who had been paying attention to the upcoming release of the phone will know that one of its biggest selling points was Siri. In action, Siri lives up to its hype. It is an advanced, responsive and effective piece of voice activation software. It is also currently exclusive to the 4S.
The iPhone has always felt more like a close companion than a friend, and Siri simply gives voice to that illusion. Other benefits of the new operating system include iCloud and iMessage. iCloud allows users to perform software updates autonomously, whilst also serving as a virtual space to store files and media content. iMessage offers similar convenience – it is similar to Blackberry’s IM service, allowing iPhone and iPad users to send messages between devices free of charge.

It was often thought that the one area iPhone’s lacked in was camera capability. There were no notable improvements from the first iPhone to the second or even to the third. However, when the iPhone 4 came along customers were treated to a performance leading 5-megapixel camera. Coupled with iPhone’s superior optimised camera software, it gave users a new reason to load up the camera application. The iPhone 4S builds on this even further, improving the camera to an 8-megapixel standard. The camera has LED flash, autofocus, touch focus and face detection software. It records in 1080p HD video and has an LED video light. Without a doubt it is one of the best phone cameras currently available, far surpassing Apple’s past reputation for mediocre cameras.
The battery life provides up to 8 hours of talk time. It is a steady improvement over the precious iPhone, but not so grand that it gains anything significant over the competition. Of course, the added option of 64GB memory space with the 4S is an appreciated addition, especially with the growing size of media content. With 64GB the user will have no worries about using up all their internal space too quickly.
