When Apple announced the phone one of the bigger talking points was the new A5 processor chip. In the announcement this was said to provide 2 x CPU performance and 7 x GPU (or graphics) performance. This enhances the user’s experience with the phone from the outset, whatever the task is that they are performing. In addition, it allows for the more strenuous entertainment apps (specifically gaming apps) to run smoothly and without slowdown. Lastly, it advances the phone’s multitasking capabilities.

Additionally aided by the iOS 5, the phones performance is significantly improved and the interface is made to feel smoother and more eloquent. iOS 5 also brings to table the convenience driven features iCloud and iMessenger. iCloud removes the need to ever connect your phone to a PC again. It uses Wi-Fi to perform software updates and stores its backup in virtual space. It can also be used a space transfer documents, files and media content between Apple devices.
iMessage provides a service which is very similar to Blackberry’s IM. It can be used to send messages to other Apple users for free, regardless of where they are across the world. It can also be used to transfer photos and videos. Whether on Wi-Fi or using 3G, the messaging service is incredibly fast and efficient. If this was Apple’s shot at emulating BBM, then they certainly did a good job.
The phone has 8 hours talk time of Battery life. The call quality of the phone is excellent from what we’ve seen. Apple has evidently fixed the network and signal issues suffered by the iPhone 4 upon release. The phone’s camera is one of its best characteristics, repeating the iPhone 4’s jump in camera technology. The camera is 8-megapixel, over the 5-megapixel that the iPhone 4 possessed. It features autofocus, LED flash (on both camera and an LED video light) and face detection. Coupled with the efficient camera software of the iPhone, the phone’s camera experience is one of the best about.
