The iPhone 4 range come in 3 different models with the iPhone 4 32GB sitting at the top end of the range offering users 32GB worth of data storage, which compares to the entry level which offers 8GB and the midrange that offers 16GB. Apart from storage the iPhone 4 32B is identical to the other two handsets and offers the same incredible facilities and features which include:
- A new sleek design measuring just 9.3mm at its thickest point yet weight 4.8 ounces which is exactly the same as the 3GS
- A silver or white stainless steel case with the rear and the front of the handset protected by treated glass covers
- Much faster access to apps and better multitasking thanks to the new A4 processor inside the phone
- Vastly improved screen quality using retina display with a 960 x 640 resolution screen with a contrast ratio of 800:1 and 326ppi that all provide crystal clear ultra-sharp visuals
- 5 Megapixel rear camera for general photo and video use and for use with Facetime and other apps that require it there is the front mounted standard VGA camera
Even a well designed, high quality handset like the iPhone 4 32GB has its negative aspects as well as its positive one and because of this the only thing that should be considered is whether the good outweighs the bad in terms of what the handset is required for. The following list of Pros and Cons should be considered prior to getting the iPhone 4S to ensure that it does everything that is required of it.
Pros
- The screen: A 3.5” retina display that not only provides an incredible 326 pixels per inch but also offers patented multi-touch technology and screen covering that makes it resistant to scratches an fingerprints
- The speed: Thanks to the new A4 processor the iPhone 4 32GB is considerably faster than the iPhone 3GS and offers fast web browsing, multitasking facilities and high speed access to apps on the handset
- The cameras: Not only does the iPhone 4 32GB have a much improved 5 megapixel rear camera but it also comes with a front mounted camera that can be used in a wide variety of apps including Facetime
Cons
- The reception Whilst the iPhone 4 32GB can often get superb 3G connections the problems with the design of the new antenna were made very public as soon as the device was released
- The battery life: Compared to the iPhone 3GS the new handset has a significantly shorter battery life when using identical applications over a period of time
- The heat: Although not a major issue there have been a few instances where some user complained of the handset getting a little too hot for regular use
